I have 5 spots available on each day on a first come first serve basis.  I will be taking names on a waiting list in the event someone needs to cancel - and these people will be first to be contacted if another session comes up.

What do I bring?  

2-3 outfits of your choice, and any props that you would like photographed.  A white sheet is available.

Why?  

Why not?!  For most of us this is the prime of our lives.  It's a great time to celebrate yourself in a way that is classy and beautiful.  Don't be worried if you've got a few trouble spots - we're great at providing poses that work for everyone - and no matter what your size everyone is beautiful.  

What to Expect?  

Expect to pamper yourself with complimentary hair and make-up, as well as mimosa's, champagne, fruit and of course some kick-ass music to get your started and keep you going.  There will also be examples of previous sessions and some poses that might help you decide the feel that you are wanting for your session.  Expect to spend a few hours with us - the time that you are scheduled in will be when you are required to be there for hair and makeup and once done you'll be ready for your session!

Nervous? 

If you are concerned with being a little too exposed, speak up!  We want you to be comfortable.  We can do photographs that 'hint' at skin exposure.... open button shirts with a cute pair of boy shorts, a white sheet, or do something a little more daring - wearing your favorite lingerie, covering as little or as much as you want.  

Cost?  

The cost to reserve your spot is $1000.  This includes your 1 hour Boudoir Session, Hotel Room Rental, Hairstyling and Makeup Application, 25 images edited by a celebrity photo editor, and all of your digital negatives with printing rights!  This is a $1200 savings over buying these products separately!   Albums and other products can also be purchased at a 25% discount.  All bookings much be taken before April 18, 2010 to secure the special pricing.

Kaitlin contacted me back in December about doing a quick bridal shoot in February before her wedding in Las Vegas in March.  I thought it was such a great idea to get some photos here in the snow before having a vastly different background down south.  Jeff and Kaitlin are such a cute couple and are going to make wonderful parents this fall.  I hope you two have a great time at your wedding and can't wait to see all your photos when you get back!

There isn't much else I can say about Saturday's Boudoir session other than it was the best day we've had in a really long time!  We had a great group of girls get together for a day of pampering and photos.  From having Danielle Dupuis come up from Edmonton to do some very sexy hair to Lauren Cavalerio finishing off the girls with some kick ass makeup.  One thing about boudoir photos is even the smallest detail is sexy.  I hope you enjoy the next few images - there are definitely going to be more to come - but hopefully this will show all of you what you missed - and might help those of you hanging on the edge of deciding on a session see how great the images can be!

I want to start this post by first thanking each and every one of my clients, blog and website followers for supporting me while I pursued one of my biggest dreams.  Over the last two years I have tried so many different genres of photography - I made it a point to try everything I could just to get the experience.  I have never made it a secret that my primary passion was for Wedding Photography - but I am a firm believer that all experience helps to push you forward.

When I first started out in photography I attended a great workshop by the amazing Jesh de Rox.  We spent three days with him in his home in Edmonton - and during one of my mentor sessions he explained something that has really stuck with me.  He would rather have 1 client out of 10 "love" his work.  I mean really love his work - than 7 clients "like" his work.  This 1 client would tell everyone about him - their family, their friends, even their co-workers and in doing this they were helping him to grow into an amazing photographer.  I know you are probably wondering where this is going - but over the last few months I have done a lot of thinking on where I would like my business to go. I have decided that it is time to start specializing in the few instead of the many.  I want to be a great photographer - and while I think things are coming together at a faster pace than I ever could have imagined - I feel that by doing a bit of everything I am short changing all of my sessions. Many of the photographers that inspire me the most focus on only a few areas of photography - Bob Davis, Jasmine Star, Carrie Sandoval, Jerry Ghionis, even my closest mentors Dave and Quin Cheung.  This has allowed each of them to become amazing at what they do - truly improving with every shot.  This is my goal - I want to put every ounce of passion I have into creating truly breathtaking images. 

As of December 1st I am going to be taking a month off to spend some time with my family.  Following that for the 2010 season I will be focusing on just a few types of sessions.  While a limited number of family and newborn sessions will be taken for 2010 - priority will be given to weddings, engagements, trash-the-dress, and boudoir sessions.  I already have a few weddings scheduled for next year - so please contact me if you are interested in chatting about your wedding photography needs. 

This decision was not easy to make as a lot of my favourite recent sessions were with families and newborns and they definitely are not gone for good.  Please stay tuned for all the great things that are happening for Leslie Brown Photography in the new year.  I've got alot of new ideas I want to get started on - and there are a few seminars that I can't wait to attend.  

I want to again thank each and every client I have had for helping me get to where I am today.  Without you I wouldn't be here - and for that I am so thankful!  I would love to hear any comments and feedback as I start this new chapter in my life - and I hope that everyone supports me while I chase my dreams!

And because all posts are better with two images - here is one I took while vacationing this summer in Europe!  It was in Santorini, Greece one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen.

The second one is from my brother's wedding.  This had to be one of the most beautiful wedding's I've been too - and Jenn was such an amazingly beautiful bride!  I've had a lot of feedback on this image that it looks like something out of the Twillight Series - and that just gets me more excited for New Moon to come out!

Yesterday I got the chance to meet up with Kayla and Kyler to do my first Extreme Bridal session.  It was raining all afternoon and just let up in time for us to get started.  It was so muddy - and although she was truly open to "Trashing" her dress - it was so beautiful I couldn't bring myself to get it that dirty in the Fort McMurray mud.  I'm really happy with how the photos turned out and can't wait to start adding some off camera flash to my images - its going to be a huge learning curve for me since I primarily depend on natural light to light my images!  I'd love to hear your comments - and if your interested in your own Extreme Bridal contact me for a special rate!

For those that are still on the fence here's my take on Boudoir Photography:

Boudoir by definition it is a woman's dressing room, bedroom or private sitting room 

 

I define it as a moment that captures the very essence of you - beautiful, sexy & strong.  An image that reminds you, that the woman you are right now is absolutely gorgeous.

 

As a woman, it is hard to constantly love and accept yourself.  Most days it is so much easier to throw on a sweater and your hair in a ponytail.  Celebrate you; give yourself a chance to prove that you are not only beautiful, but also glamorous!

 

We are celebrating the woman you are!  Relax.  If you are a little bit nervous, that's okay!  Before long, you will forget what you're wearing and be enjoying yourself.  Don't worry; it is an all woman team and we work to provide you with the most comfortable environment possible.

These might just be my favorite type of session.  They are sessions that truly help to make women love their bodies as much as they should.  Its been a while since I did this Mini-Boudoir Marathon back in October but these images were well worth the wait.  On a cold day we got together a great makeup artist and stylist - Ashley from Hair Trends, another great local photographer Amanda Pepper from Raw Emotion, my second shooter and amazing artist Jennifer Mezei, and 4 AWESOME girls willing to let loose and get some rocking images.  Once my new blog launches there will be tons of information on exactly how these sessions work and reviews on how great they can be!  To launch these sessions I am offering a special - For $1200 you receive your session, an 8x8 custom leather KISS Album, and the digital files that are used to create the album - that is a savings of over $800!  If I get enough interest I will looking into holding another Boudoir Marathon - contact me for more information! c
